Ladybird Faux Collar: The Ladybird Collar was inspired by the beaded faux collars and crocheted collars worn by my great grandmother in the 1950s. It makes a plain sweater or t-shirt feel like a treasure. The Ladybird Collar is made of hand dyed raw silk, commercial silk dupioni, as well as an applique scrap of vintage tatting and accents of beaded embellishment. The collar hooks with a crocheted cotton loop and button closure.
